Signal Green

Signal Green is a historic Porsche color with origins in the late 1960s. Over the decades, it has been offered under at least five different color codes and is especially recognized on Porsche’s transaxle models such as the 924, 944, and 968. Visually, it’s similar to Viper Green but with a slightly warmer and more intense tone.

As the name suggests, Signal Green was originally used for its high visibility and clear, attention-grabbing effect. Symbolizing action, permission, and forward motion. It also carries associations with nature, clarity, and balance, giving it an appealing duality of purpose and aesthetics.

Signal Green is part of a broader family of Porsche signal colors, including Signal Yellow and Signal Orange, all designed for maximum visibility and presence.

In recent years, the color has seen renewed popularity through Porsche’s Paint to Sample program and has even been adopted by brands like BMW and Ferrari in their own bespoke paint offerings.
