Lizard Green is one of the more recognizable modern colors from Porsche, introduced as the launch and communication color for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.2) in 2018. As with many Porsche launch colors, it featured heavily in press and marketing material, which quickly made it a popular and highly associated spec for the model.
Visually, Lizard Green is an extremely bright, high-impact green with a noticeable yellow (almost lemon-like) undertone. The name is a direct reference to this vivid tone, reminiscent of the vibrant green scales found on certain reptiles.
While it has since appeared on a few other Porsche models, its vibrant nature has kept it relatively uncommon in real-world specifications. The color was eventually discontinued, but is set to return as a Paint to Sample option in May 2026 as part of Porsche’s recent palette updates.
Lizard Green remains one of the brand’s most extroverted modern colors, closely tied to the GT3 RS and unmistakable in any setting.
