This is the Lamborghini Aventador S Blue Edition a unique, one-off vehicle created exclusively for Bucherer, the Swiss watch and jewellery retailer based in Lucerne. Developed as part of the Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS programme, the car represents the expansion of a concept that originally focused on limited-edition watches into the automotive world.

More than a vehicle designed to visually accompany a watch, the Aventador S Blue Edition was conceived as a top-tier specification of Lamborghini’s flagship V12 supercar. It is finished in Blu Kairos, a bespoke matte blue developed exclusively for Bucherer, and sits on SVJ-style Dianthus wheels in silver (which have since been repainted black, along with some exterior modifications). The matte finish and dark blue tone deliberately contrast with Lamborghini’s more typical high-gloss, high-saturation color choices.

The vehicle’s interior was developed jointly by Lamborghini’s team in Sant’Agata Bolognese and specialists from the Bucherer Fine Jewellery atelier in Lucerne, resulting in a specification unique to this car. The Alcantara sport seats are finished in Blu Delphinus, a dark blue shade distinct from the exterior paint, and feature a dynamic stitching pattern. Prominently integrated into the seat backrests is the number 8, stitched in blue thread as a reference to Bucherer’s founding year, 1888. All additional decorative stitching throughout the cabin is executed in Grigio Cronus grey.

Further bespoke elements include Blu Delphinus Alcantara floor mats with BLUE EDITION branding, as well as a carbon fibre plaque mounted on the side of the vehicle identifying it as part of the Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS programme. Between the seat backrests, a distinctive embroidered detail pays direct homage to Roger Dubuis, depicting the outline of the Excalibur Aventador S watch.

One of the most elaborate features of the car is the engine start button cover, created by the Bucherer Fine Jewellery atelier. The flap is manufactured from white gold, finished with black rhodium plating, and set with 207 blue sapphires with a combined weight of 7.47 carats. The component alone required 64 hours of work, from CAD design and goldsmith fabrication to the manual setting of each gemstone.

The Aventador S Blue Edition was unveiled to the public in December 2018 and displayed at a Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS pop-up exhibition in the Terminal 2 departure area of Zurich Airport, where it remained on display for one month. It was offered for sale through Lamborghini Zurich, at a price of CHF 600,600, reflecting both its bespoke nature and its cross-disciplinary craftsmanship.
