Blu Kairos is a matte blue paint developed by Lamborghini exclusively for Bucherer. It was created for a single vehicle, the Lamborghini Aventador S Blue Edition, and does not appear in Lamborghini’s standard or Ad Personam catalogues.
The paint was commissioned as part of Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS, an initiative launched in 2016 by the Swiss watch and jewellery retailer Bucherer. The programme brings together luxury brands to create special products unified by the colour blue, which functions as Bucherer’s house color. Blu Kairos represents Lamborghini’s interpretation of this theme.
Visually, Blu Kairos is a dark, navy blue with a very subtle purple undertone in certain lighting. The matte finish eliminates surface reflections, giving the color a flat, uniform appearance that emphasises form and geometry. The paint contains no metallic or pearl elements.
The Aventador S Blue Edition was publicly shown in December 2018 as part of a Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS pop-up exhibition at Zurich Airport, where it remained on display for one month.
