Sepia III

Sepia III is the third and most recent evolution of BMW’s Sepia paint lineage. Building on the original Sepia from the 1990s and the short-lived Sepia II, Sepia III represents BMW Individual’s current interpretation of this distinctive color.

It retains the characteristic depth and color-shift that defines the Sepia name. The paint looks generally the same and presents primarily as a dark blue to blue-grey metallic, with subtle violet undertones and a fine metallic structure. The bronze and green highlights seen in the original Sepia are slightly toned down, giving Sepia III a more modern appearance.

Sepia III was introduced after Sepia II was quickly discontinued due to pigment availability, effectively replacing it in the BMW Individual catalogue. As with its predecessors, availability is limited to select models and markets, and it remains a niche choice even within BMW’s extended Individual paint range.
