Portimao Blue

Portimao Blue Metallic is a vibrant, modern blue finish introduced by BMW in 2019 with the launch of the G20 3 Series and later featured throughout the brand’s range, including the 4 Series, M3, and M4.

Named after the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão, Portugal, the color captures the energy and atmosphere of the coastal race circuit. It combines a bright, medium-blue base with fine metallic flakes that give it more depth.

Under sunlight, Portimao Blue reveals an almost electric intensity, while in lower light it takes on a deeper, slightly more navy tone. This versatility has made it one of BMW’s most recognizable modern blues, sitting between the more vibrant San Marino Blue and the darker Tanzanite Blue.
