Frozen Portimao Blue

Frozen Portimao Blue Metallic is the matte variant of BMW’s Portimao Blue (a glossy paint originally introduced in 2019 on the G20 3 Series and G22 4 Series). Named after Portugal’s Portimão racing circuit, the original metallic paint is known for its rich, dynamic blue tone that shifts with the light.

The Frozen variant was introduced early 2021 when it was used as communication color for the G80 M3. It applies BMW's known Frozen treatment by giving the color a satin finish that softens the bright metallic shimmer of the original.

Frozen Portimao Blue has mainly been offered on select high-performance models such as the M3, M4, and M5, but can also be found on certain M variants like the i4 M50 for example or as an Individual paint option on other models.
