Nightmist Blue

Nightmist Blue is a deep, dark blue metallic paint with a subtle grey undertone, originally introduced in the late 1960s on Ford Mustangs. In period, it was part of Ford’s more understated and mature color offerings, sitting apart from brighter blues by emphasizing depth and elegance rather than outright vibrancy.

Decades later, Nightmist Blue resurfaced in a modern context when it was optioned on a 2022 model year Ford GT Carbon Series. Its return was inspired by the Shelby GT500 once owned and driven by musician Jim Morrison, linking the color directly to Ford’s American performance and cultural history.
