Amazonas Green Metallic (formerly known as Amazon Green Metallic) is a historic Porsche color that blends blue and green tones into a deep, nature-inspired metallic finish. The paint was renamed to avoid trademark conflicts while preserving the identity of the original shade.
The color traces its roots back to the early 1990s, when it appeared as Amazon Green Pearlcolor on models such as the 928, 968, and 964. Inspired by the landscapes and waterways of the Amazon region, the paint combines a cool blue base with green undertones and, despite the name, often appears more blue than green depending on lighting. Its fine metallic effect gives the surface a liquid-like depth rather than an aggressive sparkle.
The modern revival of Amazonas Green Metallic began with a Paint to Sample Plus commission for a 992 911 S/T, where a private request developed together with Porsche’s Sonderwunsch team and enthusiast @thesupercarrera brought the historic shade back into production. Following its reintroduction, the color gained wider interest and was added to Porsche’s broader Paint to Sample range in 2025.
Amazonas Green Metallic stands out as a subtle yet distinctive heritage color, shifting between deep teal, oceanic blue, and soft green hues depending on light conditions, combining historic Porsche character with a modern finish.
