In June 2020, BMW introduced Alvit Grey as the new name for what was previously known as Champagne Quartz. While the color remains visually nearly identical, retaining its elegant, warm grey-brown tone with champagne metallic flake, it now carries a different paint code than its predecessor.
This change marked a rebranding rather than a redesign, with Alvit Grey continuing to be offered on various high-end models as part of BMW’s premium metallic color range.
The color seems to have been discontinued as of summer 2025 since it is no longer listed in the Individual catalog.
