Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2003, Lamborghini created a limited production run of just fifty 40th-Anniversary Edition Murciélagos.
All 50 cars were painted in a new color called "Verde Artemis" and have a numbered plaque on the inside of the rear window. Furthermore this model had carbon-fibre exterior details, upgraded wheels, a redesigned exhaust system and a unique leather trim on the inside.
