The Murciélago was Lamborghini's flagship V12 model introduced in 2001 and sold until 2010. This first variant was available until 2006 when it was replaced by the updated LP640. A Roadster was also available from 2004 onwards.
It's a significant model for Lamborghini as it is the first new model under German ownership by Audi. It was the brands first new design in 11 years, drawn up by Belgian Luc Donckerwolke.
