Lamborghini Centenario
The Lamborghini Centenario is a limited-production hypercar unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2016 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini’s birth. Based on the Aventador platform, more specifically the Aventador SV, the Centenario served as a technology and design showcase, previewing future Lamborghini developments.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 producing 770 hp, paired with Lamborghini’s ISR automated manual transmission and an advanced all-wheel-drive system. The Centenario places a strong emphasis on lightweight construction, extensive carbon fiber use, and rear-wheel steering, contributing to improved agility and high-speed stability compared to the standard Aventador.
Design-wise, the Centenario introduced sharper aerodynamic elements, aggressive air management, and a more technical aesthetic that influenced later models. Inside, it marked an important step forward for Lamborghini interiors, featuring a newly developed infotainment system with a large central touchscreen and telemetry-focused displays.
Production was limited to 40 units in total, split evenly between 20 coupés and 20 roadsters, all of which were sold prior to the car’s public debut.
