BMW X5 G05 LCI

The BMW G05 X5 LCI was presented in February 2023 as the facelifted version of the fourth-generation X5, with production starting in April of that year for the 2024 model year.

The update brought a series of visual and technical changes while retaining the same CLAR-based platform. Exterior revisions included a redesigned front end with a new grille and bumper design, updated headlights with a slimmer appearance, revised taillights, and new wheel designs. The changes gave the X5 a more modern appearance in line with BMW's latest design direction.

The interior received a larger transformation, introducing BMW's curved display setup with the latest iDrive system, replacing the previous separate instrument cluster and central infotainment screen. The facelift also brought updates to the powertrain lineup, including the latest mild-hybrid technology and improved efficiency across several variants.

From a paint perspective, the G05 X5 LCI continued the strong customization options of the pre-facelift model. BMW Individual remained an important part of the X5 range, with a wide selection of exclusive colors available alongside the standard palette. Individual finishes proved particularly popular on the G05, resulting in a large number of uniquely specified examples.

The facelift also brought updates to the standard color palette, adding newer BMW shades such as Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic, Skyscraper Grey Metallic, and Brooklyn Grey Metallic, while other colors were phased out as BMW refreshed its exterior offerings.

Production of the G05 X5 LCI continued until 2026, when it was succeeded by the fifth-generation G65 X5.
