Silverstone II was offered as standard range paint for the F80 M3 (and F82 M4) throughout its whole lifecycle, it was also the only silver option when not going the Individual route.
Silverstone metallic shows of the bodylines of the car pretty well when seen in direct sunlight, it also has a slightly blue undertone although that's only noticeable under certain conditions.
