Calypso Red

Pictured here is a truly one-of-a-kind BMW: the only E39 M5 to ever leave the factory finished in Calypso Red. This deep, vibrant red was a popular color throughout the 1990s, seen on models like the E34 5 Series, E32 7 Series, and E31 8 Series, until it was discontinued in 1998, just as M5 production began.
Through a Sonderlackierung (custom paint) request, one fortunate German buyer was able to bring Calypso Red back as a BMW Individual option for their M5. Since then, this rare machine has been well used first in Germany, before moving to Sweden, accumulating over 215,000 kilometers along the way.
