Blu America is a special 2 layer paint that is an extra range option on the 296 since it is not one of the 6 (7 if you include Azzurro California) blue paints on the standard range of the car.
It's one of the darkest shades of blue Ferrari offers which is very well illustrated by these images as the paint looks equally as much black, only from certain angles the blue tone is noticeable in the overcast conditions.
