Basalt Black isn’t the typical color you'd think of for Porsche’s Paint to Sample (PTS) program, which usually features more vibrant and unique hues.

The Taycan Turbo GT even came standard in black at no extra cost, but this did not include a metallic finish. If buyers wanted a metallic black, they had to order it through PTS at a steep $13,620 premium, making it rather pricy for what is otherwise a relatively understated color.
