Violacious

Lotus Violacious is a striking iridescent paint developed by Lotus that shifts dramatically depending on light and viewing angle. The color moves between deep purple, blue, and hints of pink, giving it a vivid, color-travel effect similar to McLaren's Pacific Colour Stream.

Violacious has only been publicly seen on a pre-production Lotus Evija, where it was used to showcase both the car’s extreme surfacing and Lotus’ ability to work with complex, multi-layer finishes. The paint’s strong chromatic shift accentuates the Evija’s sharp aero channels and sculpted bodywork, appearing darker and more subdued in shade, while becoming highly vibrant under direct light.

To date, Violacious appears to remain a one-off or pre-production showcase color, with no confirmed availability through Lotus’ standard or bespoke customer programs, making it one of the more elusive modern Lotus finishes.
