Although it's called a blue paint color, Velvet Blue takes on a really noticeable purple tone. This is particularly apparent in sunny conditions, while on more overcast days the blue tones are predominant.
This color most notably featured on the BMW M4 F82 Heritage Edition (1 of 750), which only came in three colors replicating the colors of the M stripes.
