Shark Blue

Shark Blue is a modern Porsche color introduced in 2021 as the launch and communication color for the Porsche 911 GT3 (992). As with many GT models, its use in press and marketing made it one of the most recognizable specs for the car.

Visually, Shark Blue is an intense, highly saturated blue with a vibrant tone. It’s a very close match to Voodoo Blue, but appears slightly brighter and is more of a pure blue. The difference can appear very minimal in certain lighting.

Interestingly, Shark Blue shares its paint code within the wider Volkswagen Group palette with Volkswagen’s Cornflower Blue, meaning the two are effectively identical despite being marketed differently.

The color was discontinued around mid-2024 with the introduction of the 992.2 generation 911, but has since returned as a Paint to Sample option as part of the updates in May 2026.
