Royal Red is an older BMW paint best known for featuring on the E38 7 Series and E39 5 Series as a standard range paint up until the early 2000s when it was replaced by Chiaretto Red in 2001.
It's a deep burgundy red with a lighter red / orange metallic flake, not too dissimilar from Chiaretto Red which replaced it.
