Rosso Cina is one of Ferrari’s early classic red paint finishes, originating in the late 1950s and seen on several 250-series models and early competition Ferraris. The name translates to “China Red” and is a soft, medium red that's slightly lighter and warmer than the later and more well-known Rosso Corsa that would become Ferrari’s racing standard.
Unlike most of the classic reds that are deeper and more saturated, Rosso Cina has a vintage, almost pastel-like tone.
Rosso Cina is occasionally revived today through Ferrari Classiche restorations and Tailor Made commissions, chosen by collectors seeking a more authentic, period-correct appearance than modern high-gloss reds. Its restrained warmth and historical significance make it a favourite among connoisseurs of Ferrari’s early aesthetic.
