Le Castellet Blue is a new metallic blue introduced by BMW, first seen on the latest BMW i3 (NA0).
While the origin of the name has not officially been confirmed by BMW, it's likely linked to the Circuit Paul Ricard located in Le Castellet in the south of France.
From early press images, it appears to have a vibrant blue tone similar to San Marino Blue or Marina Bay Blue. And just like Marina Bay Blue it's also classed as an M paint. Visually, it presents as a medium to slightly deeper metallic blue with a cool undertone, offering a balance between brightness and depth. The metallic flake adds clarity and reflection across the bodywork, giving the paint a dynamic look that shifts depending on lighting conditions.
