Jalapeño Green Metallic is a late-1990s Ford paint color that was used almost exclusively on the 1999 Ford Ranger.

Despite its spicy name, Jalapeño Green is not a modern neon or performance color. It is a medium metallic green with a noticeable yellow undertone, giving it a warm character compared to more traditional forest or emerald greens of the era. The metallic flake is subtle, typical of late-1990s Ford truck finishes, providing mild sparkle without strong color shift.

The color was part of Ford’s compact pickup palette rather than its performance lineup and was never widely applied across passenger cars or later models. As a result, Jalapeño Green Metallic remains highly era specific and is now relatively uncommon to see outside surviving late-1990s Rangers.

Its limited production window and narrow model usage make Jalapeño Green an interesting footnote in Ford’s color history, especially when contrasted with the far more aggressive green shades Ford would introduce decades later on Mustang and performance models.
