Hockenheim Silver is a modern BMW paint finish first introduced in 2018 on the F87 M2 Competition, where it debuted as the launch and communication color. It's named after the legendary Hockenheimring racetrack in Germany, a circuit with deep ties to BMW’s motorsport heritage.
The paint itself is a light silver with a subtle bluish undertone, giving it a slightly cooler and more modern appearance compared to traditional silvers.
While most closely associated with the M2 Competition, Hockenheim Silver has since been made available across other BMW M models, both as a standard option or Individual color.
