Giallo Triplo Strato

Giallo Triplo Strato is one of Ferrari’s most distinctive yellow finishes, developed to deliver significantly more depth and saturation than the brand’s traditional solid yellows. Unlike single-layer or standard metallic paints, Triplo Strato finishes rely on multiple translucent layers to create a richer, more dimensional appearance that changes subtly with lighting conditions.

Although the name translates to “triple layer,” modern Ferrari paint specifications typically list Giallo Triplo Strato as a four layer paint. This is due to the inclusion of an additional ground or preparation layer in contemporary application processes. The “Triplo Strato” designation refers to the visual structure of the paint: a base color combined with a translucent tinted layer and a clear coat, rather than the full technical paint stack used during production.

The result is a yellow that appears deeper and more luminous than Giallo Modena, with enhanced clarity and a glass-like finish under direct light. Giallo Triplo Strato has been offered across numerous modern Ferrari models, particularly on higher-end and tailor-made specifications, where paint depth and visual impact are a priority.
