Gentian Blue Metallic was introduced on the 992 generation 911, replacing the lighter Sapphire Blue. It has since become available throughout nearly the whole model range as a 'Special Color' on the standard paint range and proves to be quite popular.
It's a dark blue metallic which through pictures under brighter lighting it might look similar to BMW's San Marino Blue, which we've seen appear quite frequently as a PTS option on modern Porsches, but Gentian is quite a bit darker while San Marino has a slightly more purple undertone.
