Fjord Blue

Fjord Blue is a modern Volvo paint color introduced in 2021 on the C40 Recharge. While it shares a name with a historic Volvo color from the 1990s, this new Fjord Blue Metallic carries a new paint code even though it has some similarities.

Inspired by the deep coastal fjords of Scandinavia, Fjord Blue is a rich, clean blue tone that embodies Volvo's minimalist design language. On the C40 Recharge, the color is carried into the interior, where it continues across the floor carpets and door panels, creating a unified, immersive aesthetic. This cohesive design is paired with backlit translucent graphics on the dashboard and doors, drawing inspiration from the serene landscapes of Sweden’s Abisko National Park.

Fjord Blue has remained exclusive to the Volvo EX40 and EC40.
