Explosive Gold Chromaflair

Explosive Gold is one of five Chromaflair paints offered by Porsche. These Chromaflair paints consist of five paint layers with the top layer containing ultra fine pigments that let the color change quite drastically depending on light and viewing angle.

As the name suggests Explosive Gold is mainly gold but the Chromaflair pigments give the paint a yellow, copper and even subtle green undertone.

Since this is a painstakingly hand-painted process it's perhaps unsurprising that it comes with an eye watering price tag of just under $ 100k (€ 82k).
