Dark Aurora Boreale is a special exterior paint introduced by Maserati in April 2025 on the 2025 model year Grecale. It was later extended to additional models, including the MCPURA.
It's a vivid teal-based finish featuring mint green metallic flake and subtle dark purple highlights. The combination is designed to visually echo the shifting tones of the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights), with different hues becoming more or less visible depending on lighting and viewing angle.
In bright light, the mint green flake becomes more pronounced, giving the color a brighter and more electric appearance. In lower light, the teal base deepens and the darker purple tones become more noticeable, creating a more complex and layered look rather than a flat solid paint.
