Citrin Black

Citrin Black is a dark metallic paint from BMW that combines a deep black base with subtle warm undertones. At first glance, the color appears to be a traditional black, but under direct light it reveals a distinctive bronze-gold metallic shimmer that gives the paint far more depth than a standard black finish.

The color was offered through the BMW Individual program and is most commonly associated with luxury-focused models from the late 2000s and 2010s. Compared to cooler blacks or greys in BMW’s palette, Citrin Black has a noticeably warmer character, which can make the paint appear almost brown or champagne-tinted in certain lighting conditions.

In low light, the color remains understated and elegant, often reading as a straightforward black. Sunlight is where Citrin Black changes character, as the metallic flake and warm undertones become much more visible and create a rich, layered appearance.
