Azure Blue 356

Azure Blue 356 is a modern reinterpretation of Porsche’s historic Azure Blue, a color originally developed in the early 1950s for the Porsche 356 America Roadster.

The colour was reintroduced in 2022 through Porsche’s Paint to Sample Plus programme, created specifically for the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America Edition. Its revival was intended to mark two anniversaries:

• 70 years of the Porsche 356 America Roadster
• 30 years of the 964 America Roadster

Rather than being a direct replica, Azure Blue 356 is a contemporary interpretation developed using Porsche’s historical archives and created in collaboration between Style Porsche, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, Porsche Cars North America, and Porsche Canada. The goal was to preserve the character of the original color while adapting it to modern paint technology and finishes.

Visually, Azure Blue 356 is a rich medium blue with subtle green undertones. Depending on lighting, it can shift from a clean, classic blue in shade to a slightly warmer, more complex tone in sunlight. The finish is smooth and understated, aligning with the vintage inspiration rather than appearing overly vibrant or modern.
