Avus Blue

Avus Blue is a heritage BMW paint which first appeared on the E36 3 Series.

It's a relatively dark blue paint with a lighter metallic flake. BMW has quite a few paints that match this description and closely resemble each other which can make them hard to distinguish.

The name comes from the Automobil-Verkehrs-und-Ubungsstrasse in Berlin, which literally translates to Automobile traffic and practice road and is shortened as AVUS.
It is nicknamed the oldest racetrack in Europe and was opened in 1921. After being deemed unsafe it was closed in 1998 and nowadays is part of the public highway 115
