GT Silver Metallic vs Shade Green Metallic
Here we have the 992 Dakar finished in Shade Green Metallic and GT Silver Metallic, two colors that were available from the standard paint range of the car.
Shade Green Metallic is a modern Porsche color that was actually introduced on the Dakar. It has a more dynamic appearance compared to GT Silver with a noticeable shift depending on lighting conditions. Under lower or indirect light, it can take on a muted grey tone with very little visible green. In bright daylight as captured here, however, the light green hue becomes far more apparent, giving the paint greater depth and contrast.
GT Silver Metallic, on the other hand, is a long-standing Porsche color with a more consistent appearance across lighting conditions. It has a finer metallic flake and a cooler tone overall, resulting in a timeless, more uniform finish.
While not directly comparable in shade, it's still interesting seeing both paint options on the 992 Dakar side by side, highlighting their differences.
