Frozen Black vs Frozen Deep Grey
BMW’s Frozen paint finishes have become a defining feature of its Individual program, offering a bold, stand-out look. This time we’re comparing two of the darkest matte options: Frozen Black and Frozen Deep Grey.
Frozen Black has been around for a while in the BMW Individual lineup and is quite self explanatory. It’s a deep, rich black with a matte finish that gives the vehicle an aggressive, stealthy appearance.
Frozen Deep Grey, on the other hand, is a newer addition. At first glance, and especially in low-light settings, it appears almost identical to Frozen Black. The grey tone is very subtle, with just a hint of contrast that becomes more noticeable under natural light. In indoor or shaded conditions, the color can seem significantly darker (as seen here), sometimes being mistaken for black. However, when viewed in daylight, Frozen Deep Grey reveals a softer, more refined grey hue.
With Frozen Deep Grey now being marketed on various new models, you're likely to see this distinctive shade more frequently on the road. It’s a compelling choice for drivers looking for a matte finish with a touch of understated elegance.
