Alongside the coupé, Porsche also offered a Cabriolet variant of the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series, giving collectors the chance to experience the most powerful and exclusive Turbo of the 991 generation in open-top form. The convertible was limited to just 200 units and only available on the North American market, making the Cabriolet an exceptionally rare sight.
Power came from the same uprated 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine, tuned to deliver 607 PS (446 kW / 597 hp) and 750 Nm of torque, sent through Porsche’s 7-speed PDK transmission and all-wheel drive system. Performance figures remained breathtaking, with 0–100 km/h in 3.0 seconds (fractionally slower due to the cabriolet’s added weight) and a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph), identical to the coupé.
The Cabriolet carried over all the Exclusive Series’ signature details, most notably its striking Golden Yellow Metallic paint with carbon-fiber weave accents on the hood, roof cover, and side skirts. Other colors were optionally available, but the golden hue became the hallmark of this model. The 20-inch center-lock wheels with golden highlights, carbon-ceramic brakes with black calipers, and extended Aerokit bodywork underlined its motorsport-inspired character.
Inside, the Cabriolet shared the same bespoke treatment as the coupé: two-tone perforated leather with golden contrast stitching, embossed “Turbo S Exclusive Series” logos, and extensive carbon fiber trim. Buyers were also offered a matching Porsche Design chronograph and custom luggage set, completing the exclusivity package.
Production of the Cabriolet variant ended in 2018 along with the coupé, both remain among the most desirable and collectible modern Turbo S models.
