| Production | 2023 - February 2024 |
The BMW M3 CS was introduced in March 2023 as a limited-production version of the standard M3. Positioned above the M3 Competition, it focuses on reduced weight and increased performance through extensive use of carbon-fibre components, higher engine output, and a bespoke chassis setup.
The model is offered exclusively with xDrive all-wheel drive and comes standard with carbon bucket seats. Visually, it can be identified by CS-specific exterior details, including red accent lines, model-specific badging, unique wheels, and yellow-tinted daytime running lights inspired by the M4 CSL.
Production is limited globally (commonly reported between 1,700 and 2,000 units worldwide), reinforcing the CS’s position as a special-series model within the M3 range.
The M3 CS was offered in a restricted palette of four exterior colors:
- Brooklyn Grey
- Frozen Solid White (exclusive to the M3 CS)
- Sapphire Black
- Signal Green
Among these, Frozen Solid White is notable for being exclusive to the CS and not offered on other G80/G82 models at launch.
