The Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider represents the ultimate evolution of the British marque’s collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies: a car that blurs the line between Formula 1 engineering and road-going hypercar performance.
Unveiled in 2021, the Valkyrie Spider retains the extraordinary design and engineering principles of the coupe while introducing a new level of driver engagement through an open-top configuration. The removable lightweight carbon-fibre roof panels and redesigned carbon structure allow for open-air driving without compromising the car’s structural rigidity or aerodynamic precision.
At its heart lies the same naturally aspirated 6.5-litre Cosworth V12 engine, producing 1,000 hp at a screaming 11,000 rpm, paired with a hybrid electric system that boosts total output to 1,160 hp. The Spider’s performance figures are near-identical to the coupe, capable of exceeding 350 km/h (217 mph) with the roof in place, and just shy of that with the roof removed, making it one of the fastest open cars ever built.
Production is limited to just 85 units, each hand-built by Aston Martin to bespoke customer specification through the Q by Aston Martin personalization division.
