Lotus Evija

The Lotus Evija is a fully electric hypercar and the first model introduced under Lotus’s modern era of electrification. Unveiled in 2019, it represents a bold departure from the brand’s lightweight combustion roots while remaining true to its core philosophy of aerodynamic purity and performance-driven design.

Powered by four individual electric motors producing a combined 2,000 PS (1,972 hp), the Evija is among the most powerful production cars ever built. Its advanced battery system enables instant torque delivery and a target range of around 250 miles (400 km), while ultra-fast charging capability further emphasizes its cutting-edge engineering.

The Evija’s sculpted carbon-fiber body draws inspiration from motorsport aerodynamics, with its signature “porous” design allowing air to flow through the car rather than around it, reducing drag and increasing downforce. Inside, a minimalist yet futuristic cockpit surrounds the driver with lightweight materials and digital precision, reflecting Lotus’s commitment to form following function.

Limited to just 130 units worldwide, the Evija not only honors Lotus’s historic Type 130 designation but also signals the brand’s transformation toward a new generation of high-performance electric vehicles.
