Porsche Netherlands presents 'De Tulp': a very unique 718 Cayman GT4 RS with Manthey Kit

The Story Behind “De Tulp”

This special edition was born from a close collaboration between Porsche Nederland, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, Porsche Sonderwunsch, and Manthey Racing. The result is a car that combines tailor-made design elements with uncompromising motorsport engineering.

The nickname “De Tulp” is no coincidence. The tulip, a symbol of Dutch elegance and beauty, is echoed throughout the car’s design, from subtle exterior logos to embroidered details in the interior. It’s a uniquely Dutch interpretation of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, proudly showcased for the first time during the Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort (29–31 August).

Distinctive Dutch Design

What truly sets “De Tulp” apart is its visual identity. The body is finished in Pastel Orange, a nod to the Netherlands’ national (racing) color, complemented by a black carbon front hood and Pastel Orange NACA air intakes. The 20-inch forged magnesium wheels, finished in satin black, feature Manthey's carbon aerodiscs with Pastel Orange details, further emphasizing its racing DNA.

Other bespoke features include:

• Tulip logos on the wheel arches, illuminated carbon door sills, and embroidered on the headrests.
• Interior finished in black leather and Race-Tex with orange contrast stitching and details.
• Personalized key and case with tulip motifs and orange stitching.

Every element reflects the precision and creativity of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and the near limitless possibilities of Porsche Sonderwunsch. We say near limitless because apparently a few of the requests made by Porsche Netherlands didn't make it to the final product. Some of their unfulfilled wishes are the GT4 RS logo in Pastel Orange on the airbox above the engine and Pastel Orange writing on top of the gear shift lever.

Performance with the Manthey Kit

At the heart of “De Tulp” lies a 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, producing 500 hp (386 kW). The Manthey Kit enhances this foundation with advanced aerodynamics and circuit-ready technology:

• Aerodynamic upgrades including skirts, diffuser, larger rear wing with Gurney flap, and carbon aerodiscs.
• Optimized downforce: at 200 km/h, the car delivers 169 kg of downforce (nearly double that of the standard GT4 RS).
• Track-focused suspension with adjustable coilovers and reinforced steel brake lines.
• Weissach Package with titanium roll cage for enhanced safety.

Proof of its capabilities? On the Nürburgring Nordschleife, a Manthey GT4 RS clocked a lap time of 7:03.121 minutes, more than six seconds faster than the standard 718 Cayman GT4 RS.

Beyond the Car: Exclusive Collectibles

To honor this unique project, Porsche Design has created a matching Chronograph 718 Cayman GT4 RS. The black titanium case with Pastel Orange accents mirrors the car’s details, while the rotor inside the mechanical movement replicates the design of the forged wheels.

In addition, Porsche Nederland is releasing a special edition thermos in Pastel Orange, featuring both the Porsche crest and tulip logo. Limited to 718 pieces, it’s available exclusively through the Dutch Porsche webshop.
